Hello everyone,
While Kathy is driving home today, I'm going to share with you a card I'm very excited about. My friend's daughter is having a 9 year old birthday -- she also adores my cards. Has developed a wall aka shrine in her room according to her mom. :) So sweet. So I knew I wanted to make something special for her. And here we go.
This is a card that was developed with lots going on. Several stamp companies are featured (See below for details). I hope she likes it...I liked all the sparkle and bling (of course) but especially liked how her dress turned out. You may not be able to see in this photo but I cut out and popped out the bottom of her dress. There's some sticks on there too. On top of this, I put a little bit of tulle. Lots of stickles going on here. Pearls on the cake and liquid pearls for the teeny dots. The sparkly fondant is made out of the shiny paper glaze stuff to give it puff, and then some more stickles. Below this card is her envelope...it will go inside a box so i felt I could go overboard on the envelope. :) Hope you enjoyed today's post..you will get Kathy back tomorrow unless if she's too tired...then you'll see me again. :) Happy Sunday (And for those of you who don't know...Season Premier of Once upon a time!) --Margaret
PS...this card is going to Pile it on challenge (Card for a child)
Stamps: Girl (Inky antics), Cake (Stamping Bella), Balloons (Verve), Sentiment (Unity)
Punch: Martha Stewart edging
Other: Stickles, Paper glaze, tulle, pearls
Here's the envelope:

Life
Happy Saturday!
I have a card for you with an interesting sentiment, at least I think so.
I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, rotated counterclockwise. The sentiment comes from Stampabilities and was stamped with SU! Dusty Durango, accented with Kaiser rhinestones and cut out with a Taylored Expressions die. DP is Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride. I used a Memory Box die for the frame for the REAL penny.
Thanks for stopping by! We will be driving our 386 miles home tomorrow, so I will be back LIVE on Monday, barring any kind of emergency (and let's hope not!), with a new creation. After 4 days of no stamping, I'm sure I will be ready to get in there. I only wish I had time to clean my room (at least my table) before I left, but that didn't happen).

Trick or Treat
Happy Friday!
I have a cute little Halloween card for you today.
The stamp is Sweet November's Baby Trick or Treat and I used the sketch from last week's Crafty Sentiments challenge. The sentiment is from Penny Black, cut out with an SU! punch. Nesties were used to cut out the image and the dp is American Tradition Designs.
Thanks for stopping by!

Today Will Be The Best Day Ever
Hi everyone! I have a card for last week's MFT Wednesday challenge #90.
I made this card for my friend Jazz's 42nd birthday. She is pregnant with her first baby, so this birthday marks the age she will be when she delivers her baby girl, hopefully in February 2013 when she is due! Those of you who have read previous posts may remember that my friend had a very shaky early pregnancy and we are so happy that she is now in her 20th week and doing very well!
Thanks for stopping by!

Go Geena Bea
I am preparing for my 386 mile trip to Franklin, Tennessee tomorrow. I am so sad to hear the Eclectica, a stamping/scrapbook store in Memphis is closing down. I loved to stop there when I went to or thru Memphis. Guess I can toss my punch card now :(.
Before I leave, I am scheduling posts to carry me through Saturday. On Sunday, you will be treated to a card by Margaret!!! Geena Bea and I are going to an agility trial. It's always a fun weekend and I get to catch up with my dear friend, Kathy, who I don't get to see as often as I'd like. Plus, Geena Bea loves to spend time with her doggie friend Cayenne, and her new sister, Jada. We will also get to see some of our trialing friends from afar, as well.
My card tonight features a likeness of Ms. Geena Bea.
The stamp is from Rubbermoon. I used Versamark and embossed the image with Ranger extra fine silver embossing powder. Since we are travelling, I decided to use Cosmo Cricket's Joy Ride. I used Dusty Durango SU! cardstock. Ribbon comes from my stash. This sketch is from Skipping Stones Designs.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Inky Impressions - animals
Shopping Our Stash - fur or feathers
Eureka Stamps - animals
The Stamping Boutique - embossing
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back "live" next Monday!
Wish Geena Bea luck!

Dreams Really Do Come True
Quick post tonight. I fell at agility class (of course, I'm leaving for a trial on Thursday) and I've got a swollen ankle, knee and wrist. Before I fell, Geena hit her leg on some metal edging and she was limping. Oh my, we sure are a klutzy pair!
Tonight's card uses the sketch from Cardabilities. I used Kaiser Craft Utopia Collection dp and rhinestones. The sentiment (Inkadinkado) is cut out with a die from Verve. The flowers have rhinestone centers and are created from MFT dies. Ribbon is from Papertrey. I used Versafine Bamboo ink.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Bearly Mine - add a sentiment
Paper Playtime - punches/dies + sentiment
Thanks for stopping by.

You Inspire Me
Hi Everyone!
What a beautiful day - we took several walks in the woods - temps in the 80s.
Ahhh, finally some relief!
I have a card tonight for the challenge at Crafty Ann's Challenge. You have the choice of following the sketch, following the color selection, or both. I chose to follow the sketch, which I found to be quite intriguing! I am going to save this one for future use, as I really enjoyed working with it!
There are lots of layers here. I used Kaiser's Utopia Collection dp. Two papers are foiled and two are not. Bold prints and bright colors make this one eye-catching. Sentiments are from Verve and cut out with a Sizzix banner. The flowers are Memory Bpx dies, as is the center diecut. The square was cut out with a nestie.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Paper Playtime - punches/die cuts with a sentiment
Paper Crafting Journey - My sentiments
Word Art Wednesday - Special Friends
Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you
Hi everyone,
I just really needed to get in my stamp room this weekend and am hoping my post can give Kathy another much needed break. :) I still have thank you cards left from the summer, so this is, you guess it, another thank you card.
The person receiving this card loves yellow, pinks, lime green and blues...I think this card about captures it all. The template is from a recently purchased Card Crafts Ideas book...really love the banners because I was able to add the accents in all the colors she likes. THe stamp is from Print Works which I picked up on my last jaunt to NY. This is actually an old stamp (from 2002) but I guess it's still in print. I love coloring his little girl! I cut out the flower and popped it out with a piece of foam tape. The center has fuzzy stuff in it (Flower soft)
I will be entering this card into the No Matter Which Challenge (Die cuts and punches).
Stamp: Print Works image, Stampin Up sentiment
Die cuts: Banners by MFT, Square by Spellbinders, scalloped square (Quick cuts???), large flower Martha Stewart punch, medium sized flower punch by Marvy Uchida and tiny flower punch by EK Success.
Other: Liquid pearls accent within scalloped square, flower soft (flower center), gems from Michaels, embossing background on banners (Cuddlebug) and on background paper (Spellbinders).

Bad Girl!
I'm a bad girl...
No card tonight. Too tired.
The fundraiser for Stephie (see yesterday's post) was a huge success. We raised enough money to pay for her 1st hip replacement!
A good time was had by all! Even little Sammie ran today. His sister, Geena Bea decided she would rather sniff than run the course, so I took Sam out there and ran him (he's retired - slipping patellas) sans the jumps. She was NOT happy. So when it was her turn a few dogs later, she got her act together and had a pretty good run. Isn't that shameful that you have to play psychological games with your dogs in order to get them to do what you want?
Okay, I need some much needed sleep. I left the house at 7:30am and got home at 5pm, spending another 3 hours in the car. It's been my week for long car rides!!!
I will be back tomorrow with a card, so please stop by!

I Ruff You!
I am so ready for this weekend. I am getting up earlier than on a work day to go to an agility fun run with Geena Bea. It's a FunD Raiser to help pay by bilateral hip replacements for a rescued dog. We get to pay to play and buy raffle tickets for all kinds of goodies and Stephie gets her new hips paid for. Great deal for all!
In the event you are inclined to help, donations can be made at the Out of the Woods website. You can also read more about Stephie's story by clicking on her picture - she's the pet of the month.
Tonight, in honor of Stephie and the FunD Raiser, I have a cute little canine card for you!
I used the sketch from Hanna & Friends. The dp is Cosmo Cricket Earth Love and cs is DCWV. The image and sentiment are from There She Goes.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Paper Crafting Journey - use a sentiment
Simply Create - anything goes
Inspired by Stamping - color inspiration
Divas by Design - lots of layers
Addicted to Stamps - autumn colors
Joanna Sheen - so sweet
I want to give as many people as I can the opportunity to read about Stephie, so I entered more challenges than usual. Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn
I have a sick puppy tonight. Geena Bea had her annual check-up and vaccinations on Tuesday and by Wednesday am, she was not feeling herself. We thought she was just tired from the busy day before, but when she didn't bark at stuff she normally barks at, we got a little more worried. Then the vomiting started during the night. She couldn't keep breakfast or dinner down today. So we are going to back to the vet tomorrow. She is curled up on a towel on the couch right now. She looks so pitiful - she's all of 12 pounds, most of it muscle, since she is normally quite the athlete. We cancelled our private lesson for tomorrow and hope we can get one in before our trial next weekend in Tennessee. Gastroenteritis is no fun!!!
The stamp is from Stampendous, stamped with Memento Black Onyx twice. I colored the leaves and acorn, fussy cut them , & popped them up with 3M tape. The image is cut out with a nestie, as is the Basic Grey paper circle, which reminds me of a summer moon. CS is DCWV. I added some dyed twine for texture.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Paperminutes - Autumn
Papertake Weekly - Autumn
The Paper Shelter - Fall Colors

Stocking Stuffer
I have a fun little card for you tonight. When I spotted this stamp set, I just had to have it!
Cutest little stocking stuffer I've ever seen!
This is an Impression Obsession mini set. DP is ProvoCraft Holiday Slab and ribbon/rhinestones are from my stash. The image is colored with Copics, accented with Spicas and cut out with a special Nestabilities die made for JustRite. The sketch is from Skipping Stones Designs. The sentiment is part of the stamp set and I used Palette Posey ink and cut it out with a Memory Box die.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Fashionista Challenge - Christmas
Fun with Shapes and More - Beastly Good plus die cut.

You Go Girl!
What a day it has been!
One dog to the vet for annuals & microchipping and another to the groomer for one last summer cut. The thing is - these places are 45 miles from the house! So I dropped off Schmitzy and ran to the vet with Geena Bea. Then we still had time before my lunch meeting with a couple of ladies from the animal rescue, so we went to visit an old in town neighbor and made a trip to the dog park. Left Geena at my friend Kathy's house and we went to the meeting. Then we picked up Schmitzy, dropped off Kathy and picked up Geena Bea and went home. Then it was 11 miles to go get dinner because DH mowed the yard and didn't want to cook tonight. After dinner I packed up to take Geena to agility, a 50 minute car ride away. I figure I spent between 4 and 5 hours in the car today!!!
I am glad to be home!
No time for stamping, but I did make a card yesterday that I will share.
This is another cute stamp from Sassy Cheryl's Digis. The sketch is from I {heart} sketches. I used Copics to color her & nesties to cut her out. The arrows are new MFT dies, and the dp is Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride, which has been in my drawer for >year. Ribbon is ancient stash and the sentiment is printed from the computer. I love how the numbers and ledger paper go so well with this studious young lady!
I am also entering the following challenges:
Clear it Out - children (old stash - paper & ribbon)
Oldie But Goodie - Show us your ribbons (old paper & ribbon)
Lollipop Crafts - 2 different punches or dies (arrows & rectangles)
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge - die cuts (arrows)

Namaste
I feel like I could stand to do some yoga tonight. My back is killing me from sitting in front of a computer all day! The problem really is that I can't sit at my desk and stamp tonight because of it!!!
I made a card for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge at MFT.
I used Basic Grey Lily Kate dp and stash cs. I colored the image with Copics. The "Namaste" sentiment is die cut with an MFT die.
Thanks for stopping by!

Call Me!
Barometric pressure is playing with my brain - have had a headache turned migraine, so this will be short and sweet tonight.
Margaret's youngest daughter is going on a school trip this week - spending several nights away from home. I made this card to send to her cabin reminding her to call me to tell me all about her adventure at camp when she gets home. I used last week's sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges (#153).
DP is ancient stuff from my stash (KI, I think). I added 2 flower charms to opposite corners. The image is from Hero Arts, colored with Copics (Spicas for the phone), cut out and mounted with dies from Nestabilities. This is a larger card than I normally make, but it does fit in a #10 envelope (and I had one in my stash that was lined with gold - she'll like that!).
I am entering this challenge:
The Lollipop Ladies - monochrome & Gobstoppers (candy)

Take Time To Enjoy Your Day
I think I can stop talking about the weather now, as we got 4 inches of rain between yesterday afternoon and this morning. Yea!
It's been a lazy day at the house. DH made stew and we watched a movie and then football and baseball, doing laundry in between. I had planned to wash my car today - but that went out the window! Darn! So I spent some time in my studio and made a couple of cards, too!
Tonight I have a cute little fall card to share.
The sketch is from Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. The stamp is from Sassy Cheryl's Digis. I colored her with Copics and added Spicas for shine. The dp is Cosmo Cricket Earth Love. I used a Sizzix die to cut out the sentiment, which came from Cornish Heritage Farms, and was stamped with Versafine Sepia. The robbon is from Papertrey and I used Memory Box dies for the 3-d flower, adding a rhinestone to it's center, as well as 3 at the top R corner. I used my EK Success corner rounder on all the dp except the the stripes.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Crafty Ann's Challenge - autumnal color scheme or sketch or both
Color Me Creative - fall colors & alcohol markers

Frightful & Delightful
Happy Friday!
It has been raining on and off for over 5 hours - the drought should be close to an end! We're expecting a high of no more than 80 tomorrow PLUS more rain! This is so wonderful!!!
I have another Halloween card for you tonight.
I used a sketch from Feeling Sketchy. The other night while I was playing with chipboard and glitter for that Halloween card, I did up a few extra while I was at it. So tonight I added a bat, spider and black cat. I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the background on black. The sentiment from Studio G is stamped with Versafine black onyx on Bazzill gray cs. I used Nesties label #22 to cut it out.
I am also entering the following challenge:
Pattie's Creations - embossing
Forever Friends - embossing

Happy Birthday
Happy Thursday - my week is nearly done!
I normally have to work the 2nd Friday of the month, but yesterday my boss cancelled our Friday meeting, YEA!!! Now I just need to do some research from home. I also plan to go to a nearby city (25 miles) to do some shopping. Double YEA!!!
My card today uses the sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I liked the sketch, so I decided to try to make a card. First I tried a number of different paper combinations before I stumbled upon this dp from Basic Grey, titled "Oh, Baby". You wouldn't think this was baby paper, but others in the collection definitely have the baby look. I've used this collection before, but not this particular paper. For once, I actually found paper first, then designed my card (except that I did pick out the stamp first - it's from Stamping Bella and comes with 3 different sentiments, I chose Happy Birthday and stamped it with Palette Orangerie after coloring the sign background). I wanted to coordinate my Copics with the paper. CS is from my stash bin and I used oval nesties to cut out the image and mounting. I "cheated" by using border paper instead of 3 strips - I never use my border papers, so now I have found a use for them! I will keep this sketch handy!!! I added some Spicas for a little sparkle and topped it off with portions of flourishes of the Reflections line from Michaels. I put another border strip on the interior.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Created With Love - Birthday
Paper Pretties - Birthday

Goulish Greetings
Hi!
Great to be back in the swing of things. I love it when Margaret gives me a break, but then I get out of my groove and have a hard time getting back!
As promised yesterday, I have a Halloween card for you...never too soon, right?
This sketch comes from Card Positioning Systems. I used an image from an MFT set. I love these little goblins! I stamped them twice, cut out the pumpkins and popped them up on 3M tape for some dimension. A few years ago, I purchased some Halloween die cuts that have been sitting in my stash. I added glitter to the bat and 2 stars and adhered them to the card. DP is from Michaels Reflections. You can hardly tell from the photo, but the orange harlequin paper is glittery. I used a Spellbinders scalloped circle for the black mounting for the image, also cut out with a Spellbinders nestie. The Spellbinders products are available at the Stamping Scrapping Store of the Stamping Scrapping Challenge.
I am entering the following challenges:
Stamping Scrapping Challenge - Halloween + must use item available in store
Delightful Sketches - Halloween
Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge - Halloween

Oh the weather outside is wonderful! Ninety, low humidity, sunshine!!! I am thrilled! Can you tell???
Tonight's card was entered in the Wednesday challenge at MFT.
I actually put this one in an envelope and will mail it to a friend in California tomorrow!
I used a sentiment from MFT, Palette ink in lagoon blue, nesties scallop pennant, bling from the Container Store, KI Hot Date digital papers.
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back with a Halloween card tomorrow!

Best wishes on wedding day
Hi everyone,
One last card for me until the crunch. Acoworker is getting married next week and we at work are getting her something special to commemorate the occasion. Of course I had to make a card...using one of my favorite all time stamps: The Stampendous corset stamp. This is the most wonderful stamp I own and I have probably used it more than any other stamp in my stash of thousands of stamps (white and beige for weddings, black and red for risque birthdays...LOL). It is so utilitarian!
My card today is actually CASE'd from Sasha's Inspiration blog...I actually found the card pinned on Pinterest (my other favorite pastime!) and don't have a direct link back to that awesome design. (her corset was pink with a pink tulle--it was stunning).
This card has no DP (all off white and gold paper)...I used pearls and stickles, as well as a wide sheer ribbon for the dress. Stamped and embossed in Ranger's Gold. Embossed the background dot paper with Cuddlebug. The top edge is a Spellbinders while the bottom one is Martha Stewart. It really didn't even take very long to make...
Well thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today's card--Margaret

For You
WOW!
Margaret really made a big contribution this week. I was wondering if I would ever post again! HA! (NOT!)!!!
I appreciated the break. I was able to make a couple of cards this week, so I am not in the "have to make one today for posting" situation, at least until Tuesday!
My card today features Mimi, one of the Penny Black characters.
I used the sketch over at
Feeling Sketchy. The dp is from Echo Park Sweet Day. I used an MFT die to cut out the flower parts, assembled them with Zots and added a Kaiser rhinestone to the center. Mimi is colored with Copics and Spicas, with a rhinestone added to the center of the flower in her hair. I used a tad of stash ribbon behind the image and flower. The sentiment is also from the same set as the image, Mimi in Paris. I used a SU! Sizzix die (Lots of Tags Label 1) for the sentiment.
I am also entering the following challenges:
The Poodles Parlour- Something for a female
Simon Says Stamp - must use a stamp
Thanks for stopping by! I promise to be back soon. Margaret will be back tomorrow.

Double the birthday fun
Happy Saturday morning,
We are having a beautiful sunny and pleasantly warm fall day here in Colorado.
Today I am sharing the card I spoke about a few days ago...for my friend who is getting TWO cards on account of my blip in memory. SO here's the other one...this is actually the original and it really represents who she is. She is an environmentalist and loves trees, leaves, etc. So I though this card was fitting since it represent nice fall colors. The edge punches are from Martha Stewart, the Image is Making Memories and Sentiment is Stampin Up. Enjoy! Margaret

Another thank you
Hi Everyone,
I completely forgot to post yesterday! I've been really out of it since school started and all my deadlines have been in. Recuperating... Or perhaps it's a change in weather--here in Colorado temps dropped into the 40s last night so it was COLD...and believe it or not, I've put the heat on today when I was freezing all morning and realized it was 65 in my house!
Anyway, here's yet another thank you card. What I loved about making this one is that it was so quick to put together and I got a chance to test out my new Stampin Up Die and matching stamp set. I actually found this super sparkly ribbon in my stash which adds just the right hint of bling. I happened to have this very large Swarovski crystal in teal which is at the center of the flower. The whole feel of the card seems so shabby chic...The paper is a Prima paper from a collection called Madeline.
Am excited for the weekend--nothing big planned just REST REST REST and grading stuff. I have one more card to post before Kathy takes over...you'll finally have her back! :) Thanks for stopping by! Margaret

Thanks a million
Hi everyone,
It seems I'm on a roll this week--but I bet you really miss Kathy. She is so much more entertaining. :)
Today I am sharing a card with you that is simple, works up very quickly and actually looks much better in person than on this photo. I thought it turned out quite elegant! The sentiment is from Stampin Up and the die is Cheery Lynn. In the corners of the diamonds there are small pearls attached.
I hope this can inspire you if you need a nice quick thank you card. Thanks for stopping by! Margaret

Thank you
Hi everyone,
Here is thank you card that I had made this weekend. There is only one stamped image (the sentiment from Hero Arts). The rest is a compilation of papers and a spellbinders die which I glittered up. Sorry this is short, but I'm still preparing for work tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by! Margaret

42 Sparkly Years
Hi everyone,
I'm back with a birthday card this morning! The funny story here is...My friend's birthday was yesterday so I made her a card (Yes late--because I've been so busy all month). Then I went about my day making all my thank you cards...and then realized, "oh no, I need to make my friend a card for her birthday!" So I made it and then realized--I already made one. So she's getting two (Since I already wrote in each of them). Oh well...her children just adore my cards so I guess they will get a kick out of it. They've actually started a collection of my cards on their walls--so cute.
Anyway, today's card is a birthday card and I just love love love how it came out. I chose red and white with hint of gold (dress) because I think those are real power colors and in Feng Shui, they symbolize luck. (I actually wear alot of red when I need to feel confident). I couldn't find a DP to match this theme in my stash...so I created it! I used Impression Obsession background lace and stamped the background. Martha Stewart punch for edge filled in with some pearls. Of course stickles have to be on the card (Ice cream, dress, shoes). However, I think the real kicker here is the ribbon. Believe it or not, it is ribbon from Christmas--I save ribbon to reuse. How handy is this? And the thickness of it I think really adds pizzazz. The stamp is from Stampin Bella, Uptown Girls while the sentiment is Stampin Up. The numbers were cut out using a very very old sizzix letter cutter I had in my stash. Kathy has really been inspiring me with her cards lately, so yesterday I made 5 cards--which is a record for me. This week you will see more.

Sick pup
Hi everyone! Happy Labor Day weekend!
I know it's been a while since I posted--so busy. This weekend I had a chance to catch up however. And I was on a roll. I truly felt like I finally relaxed. Nothing like art!
So today's card is both a sad card and a happy one. A family friend recently had a stroke. Am so sad about it, but relieved that he is OK. He is 70 and in excellent shape--until this happened. Today's card is for him and hoping it will cheer him up. He is a dog lover and recently also lost his dog Brandi. I hadn't planned anything about this card. Just sort of created it but LOVE the colors here (in real life they look better than on photo). I colored the pup in with Copics. The paper is Basic Grey, the punch is Martha Stewart, and the stamp is Copper Leaf Creations.
I am entering this card into the Amusing Challenges (Markers)
Thanks for stopping by-- I will have another card for you tomorrow while Kathy takes a much needed break. Margaret

Noel
I'm here with a quicky card tonight.
I just couldn't get the juices flowing, even after printing a half a dozen digi papers. So I made a CAS Christmas card.
I used a Stampin' Up! stamp, colored with Tombows (because of the small area, I find I have better control and less going outside of the lines than with Copics-my Copics seem to let out more ink flow). I stamped the ornament on another paper and cut it out, mounted it on 3M foam tape and attached it over the original image. I added silver Spica ink to the ornament for bling. Quick and easy!
I am entering the following challenges:
Sassy Studio Designs - base it on favorite Christmas carol
Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog - holiday sentiment
I will try to get my mojo back tomorrow! HA!
