Puppy Hugs

Why do weekends go so fast?

Tonight's card is for a special little girl who had all her birthday party attendees brings dog food for the creatures in the rescue with which I volunteer.  Now that is a special kid and special kids deserve special thank yous!  This one is for Katherine.

The Great Dane and child, as well as the bone and sentiments are all MFT stamps.  The round dies are Nesties, the others are MFT.  DP is Wags n' Whiskers from Basic Grey and cs is DCWV.  I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut the big bone. This is the sketch for the Wednesday challenge at MFT {MFTWSC117}.

I am also entering the following challenges:

A Double Decker--Happy Easter Morning!

Happy Easter Morning,
I'm hoping the Easter Bunny is good to everyone today.  My girls no longer believe in the Easter Bunny...but they still like their Easter baskets and an Easter Egg Hunt so I'm still working on that tonight. :)

I have yet another Easter card to share...actually two.  Once again I've completed these tonight, in the light of flourescence so the cards never look quite as nice as they would in daylight.  :(  We were invited to Easter dinner by family friends'.  These are two ladies (sisters) in their 80's...but you wouldn't know it.  They're vibrant like 60 year olds!  And they love to cook and have people over.  I figured along with a little chocolate, the cards might put a smile on their faces.

The first card, which I'm entering into the One Stop Craft CHallenge 222 (Easter) has an all star cast of dies from numerous companies: Martha Stewarts edging, Papertrey (the mound), Memory Box (Starburst), and Spellbinders (Center).  The cross is by Stampin Up and sentiment is by Flourishes.  The cross is actually embossed in purple sparkle (hard to tell).   Although the mound of earth looks a little garish in the photo, it actually doesn't look like that in person...It's actually a sparkly paper by American Crafts (POW Glitter Paper).  LOVE this paper.  I've included a closeup so you can see the sparkle.  I wanted this to appear like Easter morning, with the sun rising very bright, the ground still dark.

The card below also uses the same SU stamp.  The doily is from Cheery lynn, and the Square behind is Spellbinders.  I can't take design credit for this card as I CASE'd it from Pinterest (Your Memories With Ally Blog).  Although this card was technically "easy" it still took quite a while to make.  Kathy and I were talking about that...even easy cards take us a long time to create (at least an hour if not longer!).  I wonder if that is anyone else's experience?
Thanks for stopping by today...and enjoy a wonderful Easter with your loved ones.  Kathy will be back full time this week as my classes are starting all over again.  Just 1.5 more months, but then I will have about 2 weeks of visitors....Oh boy I can't wait til summer.

Ruff Day?

I am so lucky!
Even though Margaret moved to CO summer of 2011, we have stayed friends.   Today, I found a card from one of her posts in my mailbox!
I am the proud recipient of Easter Wishes, her post from last Saturday.
It is so beautiful, more so in person than in 2D on the blog.
Well, she needs to be watching her mailbox, too, because I mailed her and the girls a packet on Wednesday and she should get it tomorrow!
Don't ya just love surprises like this???!!!

Okay, on to the card for tonight.

This was a fun card to color and make.  I used the template from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The doghouse and fire hydrant are from Craft Lounge (sad to say, they are out of business) and the pup/sentiment is from Inky Antics.  I used an MFT opoen scallop die for the doghouse and nesties for the small scallops and the 3 circles.  The images are colored with Copics.  DP is ancient stash from Wal-Mart, I think, and cs is DCWV.  I added some brown Swarovskis for some sparkle.

I am also entering the following challenges:

QKR Stampede - Animal Antics
Stemplesonne - Fur & Tail
CCEE Stampers - Oldie but Goodie - All stamps have been in my stash years - 1st inking for doghouse and hydrant!  Little pup has been inked a lot.

So glad you stopped by!

Friends to the End

I am back today with my end of the "Face-Off" challenge with Margaret.
I made my card last night while watching my taped versions of Project Runway.  What better show to watch while "designing" clothes for a girl, huh?!

My card features a LaLa Land image of Marci.  I colored her with Copics except for the orange part of her dress.  I just didn't have a Copic color that didn't class with the paper.  The blues were too bright or too blue.  The oranges were just too orange.  Not that I didn't have a big choice, because I do own about 125 Copics.  So I went to my pencil/paint drawer and found my Aquarelles.  I used my water paintbrush, dabbing the end of the crayon to pick up color.  I'm not very experienced with this form, but I think I will try it more often!  DP is Kaiserkraft Devonshire Collection and cs is DCWV.  The diecut is from Memory Box and I used various sized Swarovski crystals for accent.  The sentiment, stamped with Versafine Sepia, is from PTI and diecut flags are Sizzix.

My sketch comes from this week's Paper Players #138.  I am also entering the following challenges:

Forever Friends - One for the Girls
Crafty Cardmakers - Friendship

Thanks for stopping by!  Let us know what you think of our FACE-OFF!!!

Face-off time!

Hi Everyone,
Today is Wednesday (barely) and it's time for Kathy and I to make a card based on a sketch.  The Sketch we chose is from the Paper Players Challenge #138 -A sketch from Anne Marie.

I lied yesterday.  I thought I had posted my last Easter card until I realized I needed to make one more for my Godmother.  So here, I promise, this is the last Easter card.  Unfortunately the colors look strange (Fluorescent bulbs) as I finished it at night and need to mail the card in the morning.

This is the last image/sentiment from the Flourishes set I've been posting from.  The papers are from Simple Stories--I've really enjoyed this set.  The die cuts are from MFT and Memory Box.  The rectangle and scallop are Spellbinders.  The edging is Martha Stewart.  I did stickle up the lamb (closeup enclosed) and added some small pearls on the edging.  I hope you enjoyed today's creation...I am looking forward to seeing Kathy's!  ~ Margaret

One Last Easter Card

Hi--I'm back again with, yes you guessed it, another Easter card.  My last one for the week.  Once again, I've utilized this Flourishes stamp set to its ultimate (I think there is only one image I have not yet used!)  I've been in the mood for detailed work lately with coloring, cutting, etc.

I also used a new pad of paper I recently picked up.  The paper is Simple Stories. And Spellbinders dies.  I also posted a closeup...don't you just love how the light captures some of the glitter sparkle?  I love my glitter and bling. :)  I also used the some gloss on the egg and flower soft on the chick.  The little orange dots around the chick are actually Liquid pearly, not real pearls!

I will be entering this card into the Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge: Challenge 45-Easter

Thanks for stopping by today.  Tomorrow you will be getting a double header from me and Kathy and as "face off"! Yeah!  Margaret

Easter and Glitter and Cards, Oh My!

Hi Everyone,
Margaret here.  Spring break has begun and I got a chance to make two cards.  Though I'll be sharing only one with you tonight and another tomorrow.  Kathy is also catching up on card making so we all will be set.  Wednesday will be our FaceOff.  Can't wait!

So I am still not finished with all my Easter card making--I have never been this "on the ball".  I think I'm going to shock people when they get their cards later this week. :)  So today's card is actually based on a scrapbook sketch I found in my Pinterest pins.  I was so inpsired by Kathy's recent card using many different die cuts, and our recent conversation about using stuff we have that haven't used that this card is completely representative of that.  I recently purchased this adorable Flourishes Easter set and I have to say, this stamp set has been put to work like no other.  This image and sentiment is from this recent Easter Set and I had a blast coloring it and stickling it up.  I used a boatload of die cuts too: MFT, Cheery Lynn and Spellbinders.  I added some Swarovski cyrstals and liquid pearls.  Closeups are attached since the card itself doesn't do it justice. :)

Am entering this card into the following two challenges:
Thanks for stopping by...will be back tomorrow with yet ANOTHER Easter card...  Margaret :)

Train Your Human

Oooooh, it's cold for March 24!!!
Poor trees and plants don't know what hit them.
Everything is budding and blooming, then wham! It's freezing again!
Ahhhh, Mother Nature at work...

I have an early meeting at work tomorrow and I get up so much better when it isn't cold and wintery outside!  It's 35 miles to the nearest Starbucks!!!

Tonight's card is on the humorous side...the sentiment reads "Train Your Humans in 5 Easy Steps" and "Humans- Can't Live With Them, C...you get the idea!

This is an American Art Stamp and I stamped it with Versamark and then embossed it with Fall Splendor embossing powder from The Powder Keg.  I used Wausau metallic purple and bronze papers and cut my scallops with a Quickutz scallop die.  I added Swarovski flat-bottomed iridescent rondels for additional sparkle.

I am entering the following challenges:

Stamp & Create - fur or feathers
Eclectic Ellapu - whimsy or funny
Craft Spot by Kimberly - embossing or glossy accents
Crafty Creations - embossing

Thanks for stopping by.  Expect to hear more about the "Face Off" with Margaret this week...this should be a real hoot!

Easter Wishes-A Tilda Town Challenge

Stormy snowy greetings from Colorado!  Today was quite a day.  I was supposed to drive my children to Denver to meet their dad who was taking them to Breckenridge for Spring Break.  Well, we never made it.  The roads were snow packed and icy.  Thanks to Kathy, my aunt, my parents and folks I work who talked sense into me into not going.  I just got a new car on Thursday to boot so wasn't going to risk it, especially since I don't have experience driving in this stuff!  So now, I need to take the girls tomorrow to meet their dad closer to Breckenridge...but it will be sunny skies and snow melts fast here in sun.

So, that was great.  I got to make a card to boot relieving Kathy for a day.  THIS COMING WEEK, we will do something different.  We will both post cards, using a similar sketch.  WE are excited about this!  We are calling this the big "Face Off"  :).

OK, onto today's card.  I still needed to make another Easter Card so I got excited when I saw Tilda Town's challenge: Think Spring.  I used a template back from March 17 for Sweet Sunday Sketch
I used Doodlebug paper, Magnolia stamp (Flourishes sentiment--don't have many easter sentiments).  The dies are a combination from Memory Box, Spellbinders and MFT.  I added in some flower soft (see closeup) and use liquid applique on the bunny's tail to give him some poof.  A little bit of Stickles and voila...a sparkly Easter card!  I really enjoyed coloring Tilda today...it's been a while since I used my Magnolia stamps.  I'm glad I did!

Enjoy your Sunday...and thanks for stopping by. Margaret

Tail Mail

Happy Friday!
WOW!
Basketball has been on all day.  I listened to it while I worked (yes, I really did work, I have a deadline to meet on Monday).  But now I have been in my art room for a couple of hours, yea!

Tonight's card is for a challenge over at The House That Stamps Built.  I added additional layers to the design (and thought of Margaret as I did it!).

The image is from Repeat Impressions and the sketch is at their blog.  I used 3 different nestie sets (4 dies) and colored the image with Copics.  DP is Basic Grey Wags & Whiskers - LOVE that paper!  Card base is made with DCWV.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Just a little something

I'm in heaven!  March Madness is here!
I LOVE March Madness!
I'll be able to spend hours in my room listening to basketball while making cards.  What more could a girl want???!!!

Tonight's card is actually a tag.  I suppose I could mount it on a base card, but I decided to follow the sketch at Christmas Challenges and keep it a tag.  Someone special will get this one!

I used all kinds of ancient stash on this one...the snowflake brads, the red bell, the dp from HL circa 2008.  Rudolph is from Stampabilities (2006) and he is colored with Copics.  I used sparkly gold DCWV cs to mount him.  The large tag is a Sizzix die and the small tag is an SU! punch.  Sentiments are from PTI (just a little something) and SU! (merry).  Ribbon is also from my stash.

I will also be entering the following challenges:

Use it Tuesdays - diecuts, punches and cutouts
House of Gilli - Anything Goes with Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by!
Margaret is on spring break next week so keep an eye out for more posts from her.  Plus, she has dared me to have a challenge with her.  Stay tuned!

A True Friend

Everything is in bloom and it has been so lovely.  Now we are under a Winter Weather Advisory.  We will be lucky to see 40 degrees tomorrow.  Poor trees and plants, they are going to be in shock.  We are on the brink of the rain or snow/ice line.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

Tonight's card is for my good friend that has been on maternity leave.  Monday was her first day back at work, so I wanted to welcome her back.  I had ordered a heart necklace with her baby's name and birthstone to put in the card, since her first day back was going to be an emotional one for her.  She loved them both!

I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges.  The dp is from DCWV.  The heart stamp is from MFT and the 'just because' is from Verve.  Both are stamped using Encore Metallic Silver.  Nesties were used to cut out all the circles and stash pearls were added for a little more bling.  The photo can't capture the glittery dp strip.

I am also entering the following challenges:

WordArt Wednesday - encouraging, uplifting sentiment

Easter Eggs

Geena Bea and I just got home from agility (it's 10pm).  I am going to quickly post this Easter card before moving on to watching WBC and college basketball while creating, at least for a while!

I made this card over the weekend.  I used the Stella Says Stamp sketch on the Catch the Bug blog.  The image is from Stampendous, colored with Copics and then highlighted with Smooch Pearlized Top Coat.  The pretty pink ribbon is from Denami and dp and pink pearls are from stash.  I used MFT die cuts with sparkly DCWV cardstock.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Easter Treats
Craftin Desert Divas - Easter Eggstraveganza
Eureka Stamps - What's in Your Easter Basket?

Schmitzy is at my feet...must mean it's time to stamp!

I don't do mornings

Oh, is there truth to that statement.  After 4 days off, I dreaded Monday morning.  I won a challenge over at The House That Stamps Built and received my winnings on Friday.  I couldn't wait to ink them up.  First off, I mounted them on cushion and then stamped them to be able to read the sentiments.  Yes, I know the trick about using a mirror, but I was too lazy to do that!  Now I have a reference sheet to keep with the stamps!

The sentiment is from my winnings.  The image is from Stampabilities, colored with Copics and Spicas.  I used  Basic Grey Lime Rickey dp and green cs.  Orange cs, rhinestones and ribbon are from my stash.  I used 2 MFT dies for the border.  I used the sketch from the What IF? Wednesday challenge at The House That Stamps Built.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Natalie & Amy - die cuts
Penny's Paper Crafty - Ribbon and die cuts
Creative Moments - add a sentiment

Thanks for stopping!

Thank you

Hello everyone,
This is Margaret--back with a card.  This is so very late, but we have been so busy with homework--three people waiting to use one computer!

Today's card is used from a sketch (Creative Inspirations March Facebook Challenge)  which I'm not entering because quite frankly...I'm not sure how.  Facebook, can't find a place on the blog...too much thinking, not enough time! LOL.  And it's late...really late.  So, I did need to make this card for my boss, who was a tremendous help to me these past several weeks as I got two grants out.

I am attaching two photos as it's quite sparkly and the main photo doesn't do it justice. Plus you can't see the pop up!
Details: SU sentiment.  And Just Rite stamp(s).  Nesties for the die cut.  And I think this is Basic Grey paper.  (old one).  Cuddlebug embossing.  And to give sparkle, swarovski's!  Enjoy!  ~Margaret

Howdy Partner

It's late so this will be quick!
We had a busy day around the house and I haven't had much time
to stamp.

This is a Pink Cat Studio image, colored with Copics and Spicas.  Howdy Partner is also PCS and HB is from CLear Stamps.  I used a PCS  stamp to create the background.  I tied some twine along one edge.  The sketch is from Seize the Birthday - masculine week.

Spring Wishes

TGIF!  After a much needed break, {TY, Margaret}, I'm back with a very pink spring card.  Spring has sprung here - daffodils, cherry trees, wildflowers, etc. are in bloom and the hardwoods are budding, while my husband, my dogs and I are all sneezing...but that's okay because springtime is so beautiful!

My break was actually just NOT posting.  I stayed busy in my art room creating cards and trying to be a little neater ;-).  Here I used a Greeting Farm stamp, colored with Copics and Spicas, and nesties used to cut them out.  I added pink pearls and flowers from my stash and used MFT Fishtail dies for the big flags and a Sizzix die for the sentiment, which is from PTI, stamped with PTI Pure Poppy.  I used the sketch from 613 Avenue Create.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Moving Along With the Times - Spring is in the Air
Celebrate the Occasion - Spring is in the Air
Crafty Sentiments - Hello Spring
Forever Friends - Lots of Flowers

SSC91: Happy Easter

Hello everyone,
Well I fell down on the ball last night and forgot to post.  This week has been a doozy.  So I have some extra treats today.

My card that I'm sharing with you today is for my parents ( know my mother will love it as she is all about the hats, especially on Easter).  I used the SSC91 sketch for Sketchbook Saturday.  I just found this blog on Saturday and I am in LOVE with Chupa's sketches.  They're so interesting.  I plan on being a regular from now on. :)  The only thing I forgot is the little doodad on the top left--oops.

Anyway, this card uses an MFT die for the banner, Spellbinders for the center (and I can't remember for the sentiment die cut).  SU sentiment and the stamp is from Stampendous.  It's one of those stamps I've never used and forgot I had.  Below the card, I just had to share my children's new creations.  I'm quite proud of them!

Above:  This is an 8.5x11 picture frame of an iris folding craft that my older daughter Julia made.  Isn't it spectacular?  She was having a case of the "Missing Miss Kathy" and our old Art Days from Arkansas.   This was supposed to be a birthday gift for a friend, but she loved it so much she gave it to me because she wants to look at it every day and keep it in the family.  I'm so touched!
Above: A card my 11 year old daughter Claudia made.  She is turning 12 soon...and each week she is getting more and more advanced in her card making.  Well why shouldn't she?  She had a paintbrush in her hand at 18 months!  (This image is from Northwoods)
Above:  Another card by Claudia...I love this card, the colors, the simplicity, the paper matching.
Below:  My precious baby Daisy.  I can never get a photo of her as she is terrified of the camera...but today I tricked her.  :)  She is as soft as she looks.

Thanks for stopping by!  I look forward to sharing some more with you later this weekend.  In a few hours it's TGIF!  YEAH!  ~Margaret

Celebrate with Style

Good evening all,
It is unusual for me to post on a Tuesday--I know--, but I have two more cards to go from the weekend!

This card is for my mother's birthday.  She adores poodles, but her poodle died last year (actually she was a cross between a poodle and a bichon).  My mother also is a fashionista--she's all about the style and dressing up.  So I thought this card would really make her day.  I used a very old challenge sketch from Sketchbook Saturday (Challenge #44).  I recently came across this site and I fell in love with Chupa's sketches.  Spellbinders and MFT dies and an old Pink Cat Studio stamp.  I also used the cuddlebug impression plate for the pink strip.  If you can't tell, this doggie has some stickles on her...surprise surprise!

Anyway...hope you enjoy this twist on a birthday card.  Thanks for stopping by (only 4 more days to go til TGIF--not like I'm counting). :)  Margaret

Celebrate the Season

It is March and I am just now making my first Christmas card.
But that's okay, because I started later last year, my first year of blogging.

I am following the challenge over at ABC Christmas Challenge.  This week it is Bingo and I am doing Not a Square, Blue & Die Cuts.
I used my Memory Box window die and my IO Tree x2.  The image is a digi from Stamp Fairy which is the sponsor of the challenge.  Isn't this little girl a cutie?  I colored her with Copics and added some clear Spica to the lamp for sparkle.

Here is what the interior looks like:

I am also entering the following challenges:

Delicious Doodles - die cuts
4 Crafty Chicks - die for dies

Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Easter

Hello everyone,
I'm back again with a card today.  Today was a beautiful sunny day and all the snow and ice melted.  We should be expecting temps into the high 60's by the end of the week and I can't wait.  I'm anticipating spring impatiently for more reasons than the weather (like school ending finally and getting a much needed break). :)

So today's card is one I made for my older daughter Julia and I will give it to her for Easter.  My daughter Claudia told me, "Just make sure it has a lot of glitter or you know what will happen"  haha.  I've ruined the child with glitter, if we could all have such little problems.  So if you blow up the card, you will see loads and loads of Stickles (I think I should buy stock in them).

Anyway, this stamp is from Northwoods.  The papers are a combination from Paper Crate and Cosmo Cricket.  The stamp did take quite a bit of time to color, but I think it was well worth it.  I actually CASE'D this template (sort of) from a card I found on Pinterest.  It was so interesting with all the different papers.  It's not really my style normally, but it was fun to put together.  I always attribute Kathy to being the paper piecing genius.  :)  Well, I hope you enjoyed today's creation and I will be back tomorrow with yet another card.  Til then, thanks for stopping by--~Margaret

MFTWSC114: Wish Big

Hello everyone,
Well, it's been a while.  I have one more incredibly intense week and then I should be able to relax JUST a tad--grants will be in, now I'll have a ton of grading to do.  I needed to stamp today not only to help Kathy take a much needed break, but to gain some sanity.  I was in my art room for 6 hours with my children, creating art while watching old episodes of Charmed.  It was a blast!  It was a great day to do that since it snowed all day (violently might I add, with almost no accumulation) :(

OK, so onto the cards.  I am entering this card into the MFT Challenge (MFTWSC114)--it's the first time I've entered their challenge.  I'm going to send it to a friend who will be having a birthday in a couple of weeks.  The paper is Mind's eye and all the products (Stamps and dies) are MFT.  A new "thing" I've done is paper piercing--I love how this looks but it sure is tedious to get it completed!   I'm  including a closeup--you can't tell how shiny and sparkly this card is from the original photo...I love how it turned out!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend...  Thanks for stopping by, Margaret.

Time to Relax

Yea!  It's the weekend!
I am so ready for it, that's for sure!

Tonight I have a card for the MFT Wednesday sketch challenge on Splitcoast.

The stamp is from the MFT a la Mode Take Time set.  She fussy cut, paper-pieced and colored with Copics.  You can't tell from the photo, but the watch case is made from sparkly gold paper and the watch face is iridescent white.  I used cs from the Basic Grey Lemonade for her clothes and shoes.  The scallop die is from MFT, as are the fishtails.  Other cs is from Michaels (pink) and PTI (green).

I am also entering the following challenges:

Party Time Tuesday - die cuts

Time for Schmitzy's yogurt - he's putting his head on my knee, so I need to go!

Good Evening!
I have a sentiment t that I just love to share with you.

I used the sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Mynette has designed a very nice sketch.  I used Cosmo Cricket Material Girl dp and DCWV cs.  The border die is from Cheery Lynn and the sentiment, from Michael's dollar bin, is mounted on nesties.  The ribbon is So Saffron taffeta from SU!  I added a Swarovski crystal to the center of the "O" of LOVE to bring a little sparkle to this otherwise very matte card.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Creative Moments - Add a sentiment
Word Art Wednesdays - Anything goes with uplifting sentiment
Twist of Faith Cards - Ribbons and bows
Party Time Tuesday - Die Cuts

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Nothing's Out of Reach

Good news on the home front.
Sadie, my 15yo schnauzer (pictured in yesterday's post) got a good report at the vet's today.  She was diagnosed with esophageal spasms, which is nothing that will kill her (TG)!  At her age, all kinds of things go through one's mind and the vet had mentioned we probably needed to get an x-ray soon to take a look at her heart since she has been hacking a lot.  Well, her heart is fine, her lungs are fine, so except for these bizarre sounds that occur when she has a spasm, she's great.  He didn't even want to put her on meds yet!

Now onto the card for today!  Since my last 2 days have been so canine centered, I used a digital design I had printed some time ago.  It's from Shirley's 2 Girls, which I think has morphed into Deidre Mosher Designs.

I colored the design with Copics then fussy cut it.  I popped it up with 3M foam tape so that it pops off the background papers, which are from the Basic Grey Max & Whiskers collection.  CS is from DCWV and rhinestones are stash.  The sentiment is also from Deidre Mosher Designs, punched out times 3 and mounted, again using 3M foam tape on 2 layers.  I think this sentiment is very encouraging!

The sketch comes from Digi Sketch Challenge.  I am also entering the following challenges:

Happy Easter

Good Evening!
I have an Easter card to share today.

I used the sketch over at Critter Sketch.  My dp is Basic Grey Porcelain and cs is DCWV.  I used an Impression Obsession image and a sentiment from the Michael's dollar bin, omitting the box around the sentiment by carefully inking just the lettering.  Then I inked the edge of the die cut (Memory Box) in Encore Ultimate Metallic Honeydew, also used for stamping the sentiment.  I colored the image with Copics and Spicas.

I am alos entering the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps - lots of flowers
OOZAK - anything goes with spring

Tonight I have my oldest dog, Sadie (15 yrs) hanging with me.  She does that only when she doesn't feel well.  Her voice is hoarse from hacking.  We visit the vet tomorrow.  Dogs are so stoic you often don't know when things are really bad until it's too late.  Hopefully it's something minor.

Thanks for stopping by!

To a Sweet Friend

I have a friendship card to share today.

I used the sketch at Sunday Sketch & Stamp.  This cute little cafe is from Bildmalarna.  It was stamped in Versamark and embossed with Stamp n' Stuff Midnight Black and colored with Copics & Spicas, then fussy cut and popped up with 3M foam tape.  The sentiment is from A Muse and stamped with PTI Pure Poppy.  DP is Basic Grey Sugared and cs is from Michaels.  I added 3 pink Swarovski crystals to the strip and a tiny clear crystal for the door knob.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Basic Grey - anything goes, must use a BG product (Sugared dp)
Sandy's Crafty Creations - shades of green
My Time to Craft - embossing
In the Pink - pink & bling

Schmitzy has kept me company, following me around to my different stations as I work.  Thanks for stopping by!

To Everything There is a Season

This is my thank you card to Margaret for my wonderful
Christmas gifts.   I can't believe that I forgot to post it!

I used my bronze-gold glittery specialty paper and a single piece of dp from my stash.  The sentiment, from Quiet Fire, is cut out and mounted using Nesties.  I used an offset gate fold card design.

On the interior I mounted thin shimmery gold paper and stamped the sentiment (DJ Inkers) with Versafine Black Onyx and cut it out with another Nestie die.  It may be a little difficult to see the paper-piercing beneath the sentiment.  It stands out well in person.

This photo shows the detail a little better.  Margaret gave me an Ecstasy paper-piercing template for Christmas (along with  some Dee's Distinctively dies!).  I hope she likes this card!

I did not use a sketch this time  How unusual for me!!!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

The Craft Place -anything goes
613 Avenue Create - tic*tac*toe (free/die cut/bling{sparkly papers})
Word Art Wednesday - uplifting sentiment
Timeless Tuesday - all that glitters

Hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by.
