Wish Big!

Hi Everyone!
I cannot believe I haven't posted since January 31!   Thank goodness for Margaret, who was able to post here and there.  So much has happened in the last 11 weeks, the majority of it not so good.  I know Margaret told you a couple of things - my good friend being diagnosed with inoperable, incurable cancer and my sweet Sadie, who was 16, had to be put to sleep on February 25, 2014.  She was my first agility dog and helped me get through all the bad times that happened in her lifetime.  She was so sensitive.  She was also quite funny.

One day she just decided to crawl into the toy basket with all her stuffed animals.  She was a hoot and I miss her so very much.  The good news is that my friend is doing quite well right now, undergoing chemo, and her doc is very pleased with her progress, yea!  I also resigned my DT position with Aud Sentiments because I was just overwhelmed with life at the time.  They were so gracious with me and I appreciate their kindness since I had recently agreed to another term and then needed to resign.  They are great ladies, please stop by and visit that challenge!

Okay, on to the card.  This is the first card I have made in all these months.  Margaret's lovely youngest daughter just had her 13th birthday and I am sending a belated card (and gift card).  Shame on me!!!  But she is a good kid and understands.  My dogs love her!

I must say, I went all out and used all kinds of supplies!  Here's a list:

Dies -
Die-Versions Whispers Spring Tree, Impression Obsession bunnies, Lil Inker Designs sun and clouds, Memory Box tulips, Papertrey candles, MFT grass.

Stamps-
The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Love
MFT Pure Innocence Believe in Magic sentiment

Paper-
MME Memorable
DCWV cs

Punches-
SU!

Inks-
Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Vintage Sepia, Atyou Spicas, Wink of Stella white

Techniques-
Heat set white tails using Wink of Stella then
sponged color on the bunnies, fussy cut Ms. Anya, paper-piecing,

then created a step fold base card using the video at Technique Time Tuesday.

Supplies-
foam tape, VLVS Magic tape

My tip for Tip Top Tuesday: using lots of die cuts is an easy way to put a scene together.

I am going to enter this in the following challenges:

Technique Time Tuesday - step fold card
The Paper Girls - card for a 13yo birthday girl!!!
Party Time Tuesday - die cut party {i used almost a dozen!}
Tip Top Tuesday - paper-piecing
Try it on Tuesday - more than one fold

I  must say, it's good to be back at the table again and I think I was inspired to go big since this card is late.  Hopefully she will think it was worth waiting for!!!  Thanks for stopping by.  I am going to try to be more regular in posting.  My DH has a birthday on Saturday, so I am guaranteed to be back before then!!!

  8. Well, as you know already, a big hit in this house. Grumpy pants actually had a smile that lasted a while...especially when she saw the inside. :) Julia just looked and looked--so envious--and finally said she wanted a card like this too. They appreciate these sooo much!
