Thinking of you

Hello everyone,
My Blog Mate surprised me by posting yesterday.  And I have to say I appreciated it greatly because I am under quite a bit of stress right now.  Tomorrow starts my 40 hr course that I will be teaching and my dog has had another infection in her GI tract.  Luckily we have an emergency vet--even though the costs are double what a normal vet would charge for everything, down to the medicine--but at least I didn't have to wait a whole week.  And now I know I won't come home after a long day to an aromatic house filled with gifts or be worried about what is going on with my Fluffernutter beast.  That would stink...no pun intended. LOL

Anyway, the other part of my stress was that my guest speaker for tomorrow needed to cancel last minute because she got a call that her mother was dying and probably wouldn't survive the next few days --and she needed to leave town.  I felt so bad for her for what she is going through right now--I never know what to say for things like this.  This did stress me out too because I needed to develop another lecture for tomorrow while still trying to put in finishing touches with the rest of the course! Anyway, I feel bad for her for what she was going through, I can't exactly imagine since my mother is still alive (and do not even want to think of when she will leave us!) so I made her this card I am featuring today.

I will be entering the card to My Time to Craft Challenge: #230 Sympathy.  I was pretty happy to find this challenge because the design team and the challenge participants have made some lovely cards for sympathy.  I always struggle what to create for sympathy cards--and if you go to their blog, you will find some nice inspirations.  I really didn't want to create anything black...death after all has been a time to celebrate a person's life for many centuries in many cultures.  And since this person's profession is with plants, I thought this theme was a bit more appropriate.

I won't be back for a while unfortunately.  This week I will be beside myself with insanity and insomnia.  Saturday my girls will be coming home so I will be coming back from Denver and Sunday I will be graduating from my herbal certification course so that will be all day.  But then on Monday, I will be back with jovial creations, not only happy to be back in my stamp room, but to be creating with my art partners and happy they are home. :)  Til then, I know Kathy will provide some beautiful inspirations for you!  Thank you for all your comments on our posts--they are read (and sometimes reread when a smile is needed), and appreciated. :)  Have a wonderful week everyone--but don't go away!  ~Margaret
