Happy Happy

Happy Thursday to one and all.  If you are a regular reader, you know I only work 1 Friday a month and that will be next Friday.  So I am free to play until Monday morning!!! Yea!
Tonight's card is for one of my sisters-in-law.  My husband asked me to make her a card and even CHOSE the stamps for me to use!!!  Well, I found it difficult to incorporate both dogs on the outside, so one went to the inside.  These are stamps that represent her 2 pups.

Both of the dog stamps are from Inkadinkado.  The birthday greeting is from PaperTrey.  I used a Fleur de Lis frame die from Nestabilities for the bulldog.  I added white grosgrain ribbon from Michaels and cut a black scallop strip using a Quickutz die.

I used a different Fleur de Lis Nestabilities set for the Scottie.  The sentiment comes from Rubbernecker.  Now I need to go prepare an envelope for mailing it tomorrow.  So until next time, Happy Stamping.

Dog-Gone Cute

Monday is Here!
The 4th Monday of the month is my LEAST favorite.  It means I need to be at work by 7:30 a.m.  In case you haven't noticed, I am a bit of a night owl, so sometimes I think I would be better off just staying up all night!!!
I decided that probably wasn't a very good idea.  So instead, I made a card and prepared my blog post, in the event I fall asleep after dinner.
This cute little guy is from the same CC Designs set I used yesterday.  I used the sketch over at deconstructingjen.  I really like this sketch.  It is very versatile and easy to use.  The dp is from my "doggie drawer", where I keep all crafty things that are dog related (except stamps - they have their own drawers).  The die-cuts are a new set I just got from Clear Dollar Stamps, and I cut the banner myself, without a die.  The bone came from the drawer mentioned above - not sure where it is from as the packaging is long gone.

I am going to enter this is the Simple Simon challenge (3 different papers), as well as at deconstructionjen.

That's it for now.  Until next time, Happy Stamping!!!

Dog days?

Hi, it's Margaret.  Long time no see. :)  Having a new job prevents me from stamping as much as I'd like to, and quite frankly, I've grown a bit "rusty" too.  Everytime I go to make a card, I spill the glitter, I cut the wrong thing ruining my precious paper, and anything else you can imagine.  Recently my faux pas has consisted of opening up my Copics to color and a blob of ink falls right smack onto my stamped image.    Sigh.  The beauty of a major move.  So, I'm feeling bad over here that Kathy's been holding up the fort,  and tonight I decided to go through some of my old files to see if there was something decent to post.  I found some dog cards I made a really long time ago.  I vaguely remember CASEing this one from a scrapbook page ad.  I can't even remember who made the paper.  LOL!  The stamp is a retired SU Stamp (I think!). The photo job is just a deluxe.  Can you tell what a massive state of confusion I'm still in? Anyone out there has old old cards they want to pull out?  Hope you're enjoying this dog theme that Kathy started....I have a couple of cards to share later this week but one of them is Kathy's birthday card so we will have to wait on that one so she can see it first!  Bye for now, Margaret
