Dogs Leave Pawprints

Happy Day before Labor Day!
It has been such a hot weekend and I have done absolutely no cardmaking since Margaret took over this weekend.  Shame on me!  Tonight will be different though.

I have a sympathy card I made for my stash because being involved in rescue and participating in agility, I have lots of dog-loving friends and occasionally someone loses a beloved pet.  Over the weekend I heard that one of our former agility classmates succumbed to her auto-immune disease at the age of six.  So sad.  Makes me so grateful to still have Sadie at 15 years!  I did have to call the vet yesterday about Schmitzy (we think he's about 12 - we took him in last summer).  He was having trouble holding his bladder.  They asked me to bring in a urine sample.  So I made the 45 mile drive to the vet in 100 degree weather - ugh!  The test showed a UTI, so it's antibiotics for a week for him, but he should be ok.  We were glad to hear it because we thought he might be developing senility!

Now for the card!

I am using a sketch and stamps from The She Goes (TSG).  I colored the image with COpics and Spicas and then used a number of dies from MFT and Spellbinders.  DP came from a kit I got from Wal-Mart ages ago.  I added 3 little bones under the sentiment.  Works up pretty quickly.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Inky Impressions - animals
613 Avenue Create - anything goes w/ opt. spotlighting (didn't do it but read the tutorial on SCS and will give it a try-thanks!)
Word Art Wednesdsay - anything goes

Thanks for stopping by!
