Joy

We broke another record, 3rd hottest day since records starting being collected in 1870!!!  We've already had 22 days over 100 and we haven't even hit August yet, normally our hottest month!  I have no energy or mojo...

I started 2 cards and trashed them before I finally put this one together.  I am not particularly pleased with it, but it was the best I could do tonight.  Tomorrow is another day!

I used an SU! stamp set, embossed with Winter Wonderland from Stampendous.  I added pearls.  CS is from my stash and I used my white Uniball pen for the lines.  The sketch is from the Annabelle Stamp Challenge.

A Special Thank You

I needed a special thank you card for someone that made a donation to the animal rescue with which I volunteer.  I am in charge of thank yous and memorials, and we have cards for those.  However, sometimes someone goes above and beyond, so I make a special card - e.g. when a little boy or girl has all their friends bring dog food, toys, treats, etc. to their birthday party in lieu of gifts for themself, or a donor makes a donation outside our norm (which is mostly $10s and $20s).  The president of the rescue asked me to make a very special card for this donor.

Well, I liked the card I made last week using the MFT Picture Perfect set, so I made a similar one using this week's MFT Sketch #82.

I used Basic Grey Lemondade, SU! vanilla and DCWV.  I paper-pieced the frame, dress and boots.  The flower is made with MFT dies, as is the sentiment tag.  The pearl brad is from Creative Imaginations.

On the inside, I stamped the Puppy Girl.  I had already handwritten a note before taking the photo, oops!

I am entering the following challenges:

Paper Pretties - 2 or more dp
Moving ALong With The TImes - Pink, Pearly and Pretty

It's Puppy Love

Ah, the weekend is coming to an end.  Tomorrow is my early, early day at the office, as well.  I have a hard time getting to sleep on these Sunday nights!  (Too afraid I won't wake up)!!!
I'm here tonight with another Pure Innocence card, this time using an old MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (#74).

I've used a Cheery Lynn die in the background (doily) and a Sizzix die for the mini scallop border and the scalloped tag (tied to the Papertrey ribbon with twine from The Cat's Pajamas).  I paper-pieced her dress and colored the rest with copics and spicas.  All dp is Basic Grey Urban Prairie.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Happy Saturday Evening!
Tonight's card is a girly birthday card.

The stamp is Matilda Muffinbread from Stamping Bella.  She is colored with Copics and Spicas.  Rhinestones make the confetti on the icing.  Flowered DP is from Basic Grey, the striped dpis from my stash.  Sentiment is from Papertrey, stamped on a Memory Box die.  Nesties were used to cut out the image and a flower from Michael's provides an accent.

I am entering the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks - sketch
Divas by Design - happy birthday
My Mum's Craft Shop - Birthday girls
Paper Pretties - birthday cards
Fashionista - baby or birthday

The eagle is about to land

HI everyone,
This card has me laughing...it's not too fancy, but it sure has a story behind it.  Kathy and I were reminiscing about one of the summers when the girls got back from their dad's house.  We were going to surprise them with a trip to Red Mango and see Kathy, even before we got home.  Well, the first thing when they got off the plane was to ask whether we were going to go to Red Mango and see Miss Kathy.  I didn't want to give the surprise away so I said no, we don't have time.  Anyway, upon getting closer to Red Mango, I gave Kathy a call to let her know we are close.  Thinking I'm so slick, I told her, "The Eagle Has Landed."  Classic, classic.  THe girls looked at each other and said with smiles,  "We're going to Red Mango and see Miss Kathy."  They have been giving me grief over that til today...apparently I underestimated their intelligence. LOL
Thanks for dropping by -- Margaret

So in light of the eagle about to take off, I'm thinking Claudia is going to have a blast with her last summer card....

Baby

As I write this post, it is storming at may home, complete with thunder and lightening.   Considering a nearby town was completely evacuated yesterday due to a wild fire started by a mower sparking on a rock, this is a great event!  We have a burn ban and are Extreme fire hazard alert.  76% of my state is under extreme drought alert, including where I live.  I have never been so happy to see rain.  The temp went from 103 degrees to 75 degrees in an hour's time.  I spent a good while on my porch this evening.

I have a card today that I made for my friend that is pregnant.  She has made it through her first trimester and I feel that she is having a girl.  So I made this card for her.  Don't worry, I have plenty of time to make a boy card if I need to since she's not due until my birthday in February.  I was inspired to make it, and just went with the feeling.

I used the sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  The stamp is the C.C. Designs Ima Butterfly.  I paper pieced her using Wild Rose Studio In Love with Japanese dp and AC Specialty Paper silver foil (for the wings).  I used Copics on parts not paper-pieced.  I used Memento, Versafine, Stazon and Brilliance inks.  The flower is constructed from an MFT die set.  Pearls are from Memento and ribbon is from Papertrey, as is the sentiment, which was cut out with another MFT die.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

Loves Rubberstamps - paper-piecing
All That Scraps - paper-piecing
The Stamping Boutique - paper-piecing

Tennis Cutie

Hi everyone!  I can't believe it!  I won a card challenge.  Do you remember this card?  Well, I never check the winners -- too much to keep track of plus I just do these challenges for fun.  Well today I logged into Feline Playful and my eye rested on "Margaret H"  I thought to myself, "It can't be" so I checked it out and sure enough...I won one of the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenges  Well since this was my parent's anniversary card this year, I am sure now it will be thought of even more extra special. So excited....

Today I am sharing a card with you that I am sending to Julia, my older daughter.  This year she decided that on top of swimming, she also wanted to take tennis lessons.  She seems drawn to tennis.  So I couldn't resist this stamp when Kathy sent me the link (she's much better at knowing what is coming out than I am).  The girl even LOOKS like my daughter...nice beautiful round face with brown hair. :)

The card is CASEd from a card I pulled from Pinterest.  This artist makes beautiful cards!  Her card is beautiful and elegant...I wanted that same design but wanted something sparkly (of course) and colorful.  It sort of looks now like it has too much color, but I think Julia will like it.  What I had in mind was the middle circles to be a rising sun, the blue sparkly paper to be the sky and the green ribbon to be an abstract representation of grass.  There are also lots of sparkly accents: on the clouds, red butterfly, on the tennis racket and inside the sun (orange section).  Notice the subliminal message sent with all the hearts in this?   No, I wasn't drinking while I was doing this!

Oh my!  I can't believe my eyes!  At 9:00 pm the temperature is below triple digits...99 degrees!!!

I'm here tonight with a card for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #81.

The stamp is a new set from MFT, Picture This!  I paper-pieced the dress, boots and frame.  All dp is Cosmo Cricket Earth Love.  The flower dies are MFT, as well.  I used a Sizzix die for the banner, stamping the MFT sentiment in Versafine Black Onyx.  All cs is DCWV.  Rhinestones are added for bling.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Thanks

Tonight I have a thank you card for Margaret.  She took a trip to NY and visited The Ink Pad.  Sweet thing that she is, I am the fortunate recipient of a lovely stamp and a beautiful Cheery Lynn die.  I couldn't manage to use both on the same card, so here's the stamp and I will showcase the die later.

It is 101 degrees and it is 7:45pm.  What a good excuse to be crafting!!!
(No, I don't live in a desert).

I used the sketch from The Craft's Meow, though I turned one of the flowers 90 degrees.   The DP is Basic Grey Gypsy and the cs is DCWV.  This beautiful girl is from Printworks.  I enjoyed pulling out a ton of Copics with which to color her.  The bottom die is from Cheery Lynn and the ribbon is from my stash.  I used Memory Box dies for the flowers using coordinating BG paper, adding Swarovski crystals to the centers as well as to accent the sentiment from Papertrey, which is stamped with Palette Orangerie onto a Sizzix die banner.

I am entering this in the following additional challenges:
Papertake Weekly - All things Girly
CMC Copic Challenge - anything goes with a girly twist

You're a gem

Hello everyone,
I'm back for a teensy post today.  Well not so teensy.  This one took me a little while to make.  The other day Kathy and I were commenting why no one ever makes mandalas/medallions.  Probably due to a lot of work!  But they're so worth it.  So keeping this in mind, I sat down yesterday after a long hard week and wondered what sort of card can I make today?  Well, my mind is highly overactive right now due to work stuff going on and making a medallion is a perfect treatment to calm that active mind. I'm sure you've seen those coloring books with mandalas out there.  The reason is because working with mandalas, whether coloring in or making them, is an excellent way to learn to focus and to help calm that overactive mind down.  This is why it's such a great activity for kids with ADHD.   Anyway, I'm trying to reach some very intense deadlines which has caused me to overwork so much that I've forgotten to eat (and I can tell you this has never happened to me before) and I can't even sleep soundly.

This truly was great...now I'm so relaxed I don't want to do any work! LOL.  So this mandala or medallion, whichever you want to call it, is created with ONE Holly Berry Stamp.  Are you intrigued?  Check out a wide assortment of Holly Berries.  This is actually one of the original ways Kathy and I learned to stamp...so making these mandalas holds a special place in our hearts and we do them often.  We found a ton of them when we took a visit to the stamp store in Branson, Unique Impressions.   Unfortunately, this store is no more in existence...a darn shame if you ask me!  The late Outlines also had these.

I've attached a closeup...as you can see this is one stamp just cut numerous amounts of times and stacked up one on top of the other.  This is one creation that actually works much better with embossing powder (in my example, I used silver).  Although the photograph really doesn't do it justice, it is actually quite sparkly because I've attached Swarovski crystals!  The only little faux pas I've made is made the sentiment crooked!  I hate when that happens.  On top of that, I cut the card wrong too...but you can't really tell that from here.  LOL (The back is shorter than the front).  I'm sure Kathy is laughing her head off right now...so typical when I'm bogged down with work!  This is what happens when you don't stamp all week!

Well I hope you enjoyed this card.  I hope to be back more this week.  Have a good Sunday and thanks for stopping by.  Margaret

Stamp:  Holly Berry

Peace on Earth

Wow!  I am just going to make it posting a card tonight.  It's 11:45pm!
My card uses the sketch from Christmas Challenges with Sketches.  The stamp comes from Taylored Expressions.

The sentiment is from a really old Verve set (rubber!).  DP is SEI Alpine Frost and the gold paper is Gold Leaf from Canson Effects Papercraft.  CS is from SU!  Ribbon and pearls are from my stash and I used Nestie dies for the angel and a Memory Box die for the sentiment.  The angel's clothing is paper-pieced with GOld Leaf.

DH cooked rice for Schmitzy tonight and he finally had an appetite!  He wouldn't eat breakfast this morning, so we were getting a little worried.  He's asleep with DH right now, which is why I can craft and post!!!

I am also entering this in the following challenges:
Southern Girls - Angels & Fantasy
The Crafty Pad - Paper-piecing

Missed Post

Sorry for missing yesterday's post.  Schmitzy had surgery yesterday and I needed to nurse him.  He is a little better today, so perhaps this evening I will be able to get back in my studio while he spends time with my DH.  Poor guy got neutered, had a dental and had a molar pulled.  Apparently, he has other rotten teeth that will need to be dug out in the near future, but they didn't want to do all that this time.  I can't move without him following me and he is supposed to be quiet, so that means I am quiet too!

Hopefully more later!

Discover

Hi, one and all!
I am back today with a card that features an Elisabeth Bell image stamped with Memento.  I love this stamp and I am a big fan of butterflies!

The stamp is called "Catch a Butterfly" and is from Sugar Nellies.  I cut it out using the  #21 nestie.  The sentiment is from Kaiser, stamped with Majestic Blue Versafine and SU! punches were used.  The butterflies are dies from Cheery Lynn.  DP is old stuff from my stash (KI I think).  I colored the image with Copics and Spicas, adding just a touch of orange (butterfly).  A number of Swarovski crystals accent the image and sentiment.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Are you cured yet? And Children's Corner

Hi everyone!
I have a cute little card today that is using WAY old stamps and paper and a card that I found in my daughter's stash when I was cleaning our art room.  See below for details!

So, first my card.  This is a card I made just to have for my own inspiration board.  It's for someone sick as the sentiment says, "Are you cured yet?"  I love a good play on words.  This is a very old Stampin Up set (I've actually used this one quite a lot!  Always brings smiles to its recipients).  Paper is Basic Grey from another oldie stash.

Now here is a card by my daughter made early this year (when she was 10).  This is a Penny Black stamp from the Mimi line...love these girls.  I think Claudia was so creative in how she created this card...adding the stamp to paper with clouds on it.  Since she didn't see an appropriate stamp in my stash, she created her own sentiment:  "Just Flying by to say thank you"  Isn't she so cute?  incidentally, she could never make herself to send this card--it's one of her best.  Sound familiar?  She's been stamping since she could hold the stamp in her hands...Even since this card, she's gotten much more advanced over the last 6 months.  Can't wait to see what this year will bring.  Teach em when they're young is what I say!  Another cute thing: I asked her today what will be the first thing she will do when she comes back?  She said, "Well, I really need to be in my art room because I haven't been there in a long time and I need to stamp!"  I love it!

Everything Happens For a Reason

Hi everyone!
Thanks to Margaret for posting for me while I was busy making a baby afghan in record time.  You see, I began working from home 2 days a week and going to the office 2 days a week in December.  Apparently I am missing all the office gossip.  At a birthday lunch for my assistant last week, I learned that one of the women I have worked with for a dozen years is having a grandchild next month.  Then I learned that the shower is this week and that my friend is flying to the out-of-state location on Thursday.  My office manager says this happened because when I am in the office, I work ALL the time, with no time for visiting.  I guess she is right!  So here is the finished product:

I had hoped to buy pink yarn, but they didn't have enough of the same dye lot so I ended up with yellow.  My normal days in the office are Monday & Thursday, but I switched to Tuesday to make sure I had finished the blanket!!!

Okay, now for today's card.  The sketch is from MFT Wednesday challenge.

The main stamp is from the Tim Holtz line at Stamper's Anonymous.  The tab sentiment is a peg stamp from Inkadinkado.  CS is DCWV and DP is from Cosmo Cricket Material Girl.  Tab die is from MFT and zigzag is Papertrey, with buttons from Basic Grey.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Sunday Everyone!
I've been on a real stamping kick!  It's been very de-stressing after last week.  I could be in my stamp room all day and night and never do anything else.  Does anyone else feel like this?  Now I'm looking forward to watching Drop Dead Diva and Army Wives tonight!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made for my parents 43rd anniversary.  This big event is coming up in August but I know the next few weeks are going to be intense as school starts so I thought I'd get a head start.  This card has ALOT of sparkle.  I am attaching a closeup so you can see it below the main photo.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps Challenge, Challenge #24: For Someone Special
Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenges, Challenge #148: Sparkle

Thanks for stopping by!  Margaret

Stamps:  Doves (Northwooods Stamps); Sentiment (Stampin Up)
Dies: Full heart and cut out heart (Memory box); Banner: MFT
Paper: K&C Designs, glitter paper (red heart)

Celebrate your inner princess

Hello everyone!
I'm back with a card I've made for Claudia.  Remember...the peace sign girl?  Unfortunately, I was being a real airhead and YET AGAIN, pinned the peace signs upside down.

Anyway, This is a Penny Black stamp...and Claudia LOVES these girls.  And she is also quite the princess, so I thought the sentiment was quite fitting (Amuse Stamps).  The flower is Prima, and she will be delighted to see it because she gave me these flowers a few years back for Christmas...and has been upset with me because I haven't used them.  It's really not because I don't like them -- I love them!  And therefore I hoard them.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I was delighted to find this paper in my stash with the clouds...it's by Me and My Big Ideas.

Well I'm pooped.  I was cooking all day long -- something I haven't done in a long time.  At least now I'll have food for the rest of the week (and that includes dessert! YUM).
Thank you for stopping by!  See you tomorrow!  Margaret

Thanks [a medallion]

Hi Everyone,
As Kathy is working mightily away on a project, I'm here to share with you a card.  This is actually an older card...that I had once given to Kathy and found this photo.  (was a busy day today).

The card below is made all from medallions.  Kathy had given me the Mehndi Medallions Stamp Set by WPlus9 Design Studio for Christmas one year.  I stamped the medallions and then cut them in half.  I hope you enjoy!  Will try to post tomorrow, but I'm cooking for 8!  Why did I do this, I ask myself...

Thanks for stopping by! Margaret

Books give you something to dream about

Hi everyone!
I've been super busy this week and now Kathy is super busy so we're trading posts.  LOL.

Today I have a card I made for my daughter Julia.  She is a book worm!  Even as a baby she loved books, even though then they were made of cloth.  This stamp reminds me of when she was a baby and we'd sit in a chair together and read.  Sometimes we still do this, so I thought this was really appropriate.  I really really miss her and can't wait til she comes back home.  The sentiment says "Books give you something to dream about"

I'm not entering any challenges today...just wanted to make a card.  Will see you back tomorrow...thanks for stopping by!  Margaret

Stamps:  Bear and quote (Cat's Pajamas); I love you heart (Northwoods); other hearts (Michael's dollar bin)
Other:  Cuddlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders

Golden Tree

It's late, been a long day, and I have to leave early for work to get Sammie to the groomer, so this will be a quicky post.

My card uses the July sketch over at Sparkles Forum Challenge.
I embossed the holly tree (Papertrey) with Ranger Queen's Gold and added Swarovski crystals for the berries.  I mounted it using AC Gold foil.  The DP is from Paper Studio and are gold foiled.  I added gold Swarovski crystals to the red strips.  The sentiment is from Verve and it is also mounted on AC Gold foil.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
The Crazy Challenge - Christmas in July
The Pink Elephant - Christmas in July
Lollipop Crafts - Christmas in July

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you had a great day!

Noel

WOW!
I love the card Margaret posted yesterday and am so happy that I get to be the recipient!!!  It's a lovely card and I am always amazed by how she uses Tilda in her cards.

We GOT rain!  Yes, 2 rain showers hit here yesterday, 1 in the am and 1 around 9:30pm.  The latter one even knocked out the satellite signal!  YEA, rain!  Of course, that means more humidity for agility class tonight, but perhaps the temps will only be around 90 degrees!

With all the heat, I am dreaming of Christmas - that's one way to try to be cool! HA!  So I have a Christmas card for you today.  I used the sketch over at MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

The stamp and sentiment are both MFT, though different sets.  The snowflake is from a Sizzix die and the green backgound is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.  The image is paper-pieced and colored with Copics.  CS and dp are from my stash - old stuff.  I added a pearl to the snowflake and the "o" of Noel, as well as 3 in the corners.  I used a Sizzix die to cut out the flag.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

The Crazy Challenge - Christmas in July
The Pink Elephant - Christmas in July
Lollipop Crafts - Christmas in July
Creative Stempelfreunde - paper piecing

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a great day!

For My Little Merman

Hi everyone!
I was so touched to see everyone's lovely comments on the Magnolia card I posted yesterday.  Thank you so much!  It was such a nice surprise after a day that was truly quite stressful.  YOU all made my day, literally!

So you may be wondering about the title of my card today.  This card is for my godson Owen.  Owen is fascinated with Mermaids, much to his father's concern. LOL  Owen is my friend's son--we have been friends since college.  His mother has quite the imagination, so he comes by it honestly.  He is one of those kids that when you look at his face, you see a really old soul staring back at you.  Lots of wisdom...and apparently creativity.  I thought this Mermaid Tilda was fitting for him...  He is only 7...I'm sure that he'll get through this phase just fine--though we are going on several years now of this phase.  I hope one day I can get him addicted to stamping, unfortunately, he lives near Washington DC....quite a distance.  I'm sure his dad is relieved about that. :)

This card is another Magnolia.  However, I've also used Hero Arts stamps and Imaginisce stamps for the sea creatures.  The little bubbles are little plastic pebbles I had purchased at Michaels in their faux plants section...Tilda has a lot of stickles all over her to make her sparkle...and she is popped up with foam tape.  The edging is a Martha Stewart punch.  The background is just paint and another Magnolia stamp of the seaweed.

I will be entering this card into the Pile it On Challenge #28: It's a Shore Thing  Enjoy!  Thanks for stopping by. Margaret

MIssing you

Good evening everyone,
Posting a little late today...sorry!  I was out shopping when we got a HUGE storm (lightning spreading across the sky, thunder and a huge downpour).  I was out eating dinner and decided to wait it out...except that it took almost 2 hours!  The good news is that now the temperature has dropped to 59 degrees...and I'm actually cold!  That's different...I'll blow some of this frosty air towards all of you reading this in the heat zone...

Today I am making a card for Kathy.  I have a gift for her that I picked up in NY and haven't sent it so here's her card (of course now she'll be seeing it ahead of time...but it's actually much prettier in person than on the photo).  Very sparkly.  I am entering this card into the Let's Ink It Up: Challenge #25.  The themes for this challenge is "very girly".  I had a lot more girly things planned for this card, until I realized the image took up almost the entire card.  LOL!  So instead I sparkled it up and put some bling.  This challenge is all about Magnolia stamps...these are some of my absolute favorite stamps!  So fun to color and so cute.  On this card, there's lots of stickles and the butterflies (Cheery Lynn) are actually made of glitter paper.  Tilda is popped out as she is leaning out the window.  Enjoy, and I will see you later this week.  Thanks for stopping by...Margaret

Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone,
I'm back after a short hiatus.  Work had me pretty slammed this week...I guess now with the fall semester just a short month away, things will start picking up in pace.

I am in the process of organizing my art area and one of my missions was to sort all my cards that I have received from Kathy and the girls into a more spacious box.  Well, upon doing so, I found a bunch of cards I made for my children and they brought a smile to my face as I recalled those good ol' times.

I thought I'd post one of them here.  It was a birthday card I made for  one of the girls.  It is Penny Black image (I love these little girls) and the Happy birthday sentiment is from an old Stampin up collection with some Swarovski Crystals in the middle.  The ribbon was a specialty ribbon from the local scrapbook store and I used Spellbinders to cut out the shapes.

Enjoy!  I hope to make something new this weekend to post tomorrow!  I will be enjoying my day sorting through things, putting together a desk for one of the girls and cleaning up my card area...we are finally FINALLY expecting some big storms today.  They've been getting a lot of them closer to town but not much where I live (yesterday was the first day since Kathy visited me)....we just get dumped with snow. LOL.  This should completely put out the 98% contained fire.  Well, I don't want to say anymore as I don't want to make Kathy jealous with her heat wave going on in Arkansas...she just might melt.  I hope not!  Margaret  :)

Your Thoughtfulness Touched My Heart

It looks like one more day in the 100s then we drop to high 90s.  If we're lucky, a cold front will come thru and we will drop to high 80s!!!  Keep your fingers crossed!

I am here tonight with a card for MOJO Monday.  The sentiment is from Verve.  I used my trusty nesties to cut out the ovals and used a Quickutz die for the scalloped edge.  I added a lovely purple Prima flower, Swarovski crystals and some sparkly purple ribbon from my old stash.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

Bloggers Challenge - Say it with words - sentiment as focal point
Shelly's Images - What the Text
The House That Stamps Built - green & purple

D is for Dog

As I type this at 8:40pm it is 104 degrees.  This is insane!  I live in the mountains, not the desert.

Tonight's card is where I want to be...cooling off in a tub!

This is a digital image from Freshly Brewed Designs.   I used the sketch over at The Crazy Challenge and dp/cs/buttons from my stash (ancient stuff).  The sentiment is from SU! and the flower is from Prima.  I colored the image with Copics and then used pearlescent Smooch to add sparkle to the bubbles and water.

I am entering this card in the following additional challenges:

Marianne's Design Divas - animal antics
MarkerPop - fur/hair must use Copics

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be back tomorrow if I don't melt first!

To the World

The 4th is almost over, but triple digits continue in our future.  Too hot to do anything around here!

The card I have for you tonight is for a friend of mine that just rescued a 7-month old pup.  Actually, she runs a rescue and saves many pups, kitties, rabbits, etc., but this one is special.  She's keeping this one.  Though the saying says "person", if you substitute "pup" for the 2nd "person", you'll get why I used this stamp, though keeping the 2nd "person" fits for her, as well.

I used the sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  The main image is stamped in Versafine Sepia and is from Eat Cake Graphics.  The bone is from Stampendous, fur baby is from Cornish Heritage Farms and the pawprint is from All Night Media.  DP and cs are all DCWV and the ribbon is from Michaels.

Wishing You a Fabulous 4th!

Hi Everyone!  Hope this finds you cooler than we are.  We broke an all-time high the other day.  We're looking at triple digits again today and the Forestry Service has changed our fire danger from High to Extreme, with no changes in sight.  Can you say "Global Warming?"

Okay, enough weather.  I have a 4th of July card for you today.  It's another one of those darling Pure Innocence designs with sentiment.  I paper-pieced her dress and colored everthing else with Copics and Spicas.  The sketch is from MFT Wednesday Sketch.  Cs is DCWV, dp and ribbon are very old and from my stash, . I added lots of Swarovski crystals. Waves are from an MFT die.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant - photo inspiration
Paper PlayTime - red,white & blue
Stamptacular Sunday - red, white & blue + sparkle
2 Sisters - red, white & blue + bling
Card Makin' Mamas - red, white & blue
Stampin with the Dragon - red, white & blue
Inspired by Stamping - red, white & blue
Thanks for stopping by!

Missing you - DS58

It's July!  And I can hardly believe it.  5 more weeks and then my girls come home...of course that also means begin of fall semester.  But I'll take it as long as my girls are home with me!

So yesterday I posted a card that I made for Claudia (Peace sign).  Today, I was commissioned by Julia to make a card that has a "cute little puppy" on it.  No surprises there.  Julia's goal in life is to become a veterinarian.  And I am VERY HAPPY with that.  Anything to keep the interest going...so in light of that, here's Julia's card, with her "cute little puppy" theme.  I am using the Deconstructed Sketch No. 58 for the card design.  I'm attaching a closeup -- so you can see the sparkle and gloss on the flower and the bow.
I hope you've enjoyed this card....Thank you for stopping by! Tomorrow, you will get Kathy back again.  :)  Margaret

Peace Sign - Mojo Monday Sketch 247

Good Sunday Morning Everyone!
It's about time my girls get another card.  I decided to use the Mojo Monday Sketch 247 for Claudia's card.  She's a big fan of Peace signs.  I've been saving these papers for years for the perfect peace sign craft--So I used them today (and still have some left over).  I attached a closeup--the card is much sparklier than it first appears.   I sure do miss my little Peace Sign girl!  Have a great rest of the weekend and thanks for stopping by! Margaret
