What a short weekend!
I need another one, NOW! How about you?
I have a card for Margaret's oldest daughter who has a birthday this week.
She is currently in love with all things "owl" so what better card to make than one with an owl on it?!!! And a very feminine owl, at that!
The image is a digital one (Hula Owl) from Pink Cat Studio. I printed her twice, colored her with Copics, then fussy cut the hibiscus and grass skirt, popping them up with 3M tape. I used some Art Institute transparent glitter on the hibiscus flower center and then used iridescent Smooch on the center of the flowers along her skirt. I added Robin's nest baubles in the corners. The sentiment is also from Pink Cat Studio and I cut it out with a die from Taylored Expressions. It comes with the clear piece that matches the die and makes it extremely easy to match it up and cut it out the FIRST time!!! I used the sketch from this week's challenge over at The Sweet Stop.
I am also entering the following challenges:
Art Impressions - Child's Birthday
Card Mania - Happy Birthday
Sassy Cheryl's - Celebrating Birthdays
Thanks for stopping by!

What a darling card Kathy. That image is such a HOOT! Great colors and papers. Love how the banner with the greeting hangs off the card. Thank you for playing along with us at The Sweet Stop this week.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this could possibly be any cuter! I love the fun colors and the image is so much fun for a child's card. Thanks for joining us at Art Impressions this week. Renee
ReplyDeleteYour card is so cute, the little hula owl is adorable and I love the fun DP you used.
